British tennis star Emma Raducanu ends her season and has decided to continue with trainer for 2026.

The British player reached the third round in three Grand Slam tournaments major tournaments this year.

The British tennis star Emma Raducanu will not compete in her final two events of the year due to a health issue that has affected her over the past 10 days.

Raducanu, aged 22 was scheduled to compete in events in Asia but opted to return home to regain her health ahead of launching her preparations for 2026.

Her upcoming training will include trainer Francisco Roig, as both individuals have decided to continue collaborating in 2026.

Raducanu had her blood pressure taken in her opening round against Ann Li in Wuhan and stopped playing when losing 6-1 4-1 on a day with extreme humidity.

Another medical visit was necessary a doctor's assessment at this week's Ningbo Open, where she was defeated in three sets to Chinese wildcard Zhu Lin in round one.

Her movement was with clear difficulty in the deciding set versus Zhu because of a lower back issue that has troubled her during parts of the season.

These outcomes meant an encouraging season, in which the player advanced into the international top 30 after more than three years since her previous ranking, ended with three successive defeats.

Raducanu had three match points before losing to Jessica Pegula in the third stage in Beijing last month.

She secured twenty-eight matches in the current season and advanced to the semis in the Washington tournament, but her most impressive week was at March's Miami Open.

The British number one advanced to the quarters of this WTA 1000 tournament, overcoming Emma Navarro, the eighth seed on the way then falling in three sets to Pegula, ranked fourth.

She was coached by Mark Petchey from Miami until Wimbledon, with Roig assuming the role in time for the US Open.

The initial agreement with the former trainer of Nadal was through the season's conclusion but the collaboration persists, with a training block pencilled in for the end of the year.

The athlete revealed that her three-day trial with Roig post-Wimbledon was like a "secret mission" as the meeting was kept under wraps.

The player was close to beating world number one Aryna Sabalenka at their first tournament together in Cincinnati in August.

Roig was also with Raducanu in New York, where she made the third stage prior to losing to Rybakina, champion at Wimbledon in 2022.
